A. Katharine Lusk, CPM

Principal

Katharine grew up immersed in farming and ranching. From an early age, she has respected the land and the landowners.

With over twelve continuous years of experience in the wind energy industry, Katharine has seen the technological and economic changes in the development, leasing and operations process. Katharine loves the native and natural uses of the earth and is excited to see the economic and alternative energy opportunities wind has to offer to the population ... especially the rural landowner.

Drawing on over 30 years in Real Estate management, Katharine is also a Certified Texas Easement or Right-of-Way Agent and is familiar with the laws and documents related to land, title and leasing. Her goal is to find the best opportunity for each landowner and make a good fit between them and a wind energy developer.

Art Talamantes

Weather Specialist

Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, Art did not get interested in weather until joining the Navy in 1955, serving aboard two different aircraft carriers as an aerographer (weatherman) where weather information is a must. After leaving the Navy, he worked for the Texas Department of Transportation as a draftsman, although this did not seem to satisfy his interest in weather.

By this time, the US Weather Bureau was needing personnel, to replace all the women who worked in weather during the war; they were retiring at a fast rate. His first duty station was in Wichita Falls, TX, and then Midland. Art also worked in the Northwestern Caribbean Sea doing hurricane research and in Panama and Colombia doing wind studies for the Weather Bureau. Art and his family moved around in Texas, settling in San Antonio for a while.

Finally, Art was assigned as Officer in Charge of the NWS station in San Angelo, TX, retiring in the mid 1990s.
